1. Outside the cave

A low, moss-covered hill rises amidst the marshes, and among the scrub at the hill’s base, an empty cave opening.

Tracks: It is easy to see that many pond salamanders make their way in and out of the opening every day.

2. The Salamander Queen’s den

The room is littered with bone remains, belonging to both animals and humanoids. In the center of the chamber, a very large salamander slumbers, easily roused by the slightest noise.

The Queen Salamander: the sleeping salamander in the room is the Queen Salamander.

Treasures: draw 2 treasure cards if someone searches the room.

3. Egg chamber

About 20 eggs are nestled in a layer of mud, their tops visibly protruding. Small salamander babies crawl around the chamber floor. Though harmless, they’ll cry earpiercing shrieks if threatened, potentially waking the Salamander Queen, if she is not already stirred.
